Where to?

Hello everyone! I hope i am posting in the correct section this seems right but my apologies if it is not. I recently started doing c++ after doing pretty simple python stuff for mods and the like for a game called Mount and blade. My question is simple, where to from here? I have completed a 25 video tutorial for c++ and began reading the tutorial on here just to clarify stuff. My ultimate goal is to go into game development after the Marine Corps. I of course am not expecting to right the next halo in a couple of days. Just want to know if anyone had advice on what tutorials or stuff to do after my point to expand my knowledge. Thank you in advance.

Get a good book. One listed under the 'Beginner Introductory' section here:

(Thinking in C++ is available as a free e-book. http://mindview.net/Books/TICPP/ThinkingInCPP2e.html)
Thanks a bunch for the quick reply! I will be getting right on those.

Also a quick question and I know this probably isnt the right place to ask, but does anyone know of a good tutorial for scripting? Particularly in LUA as i believe that is what most games use. Again thanks a ton!

Hello, thank you for the reply. For my last and final question would anyone know a good program to make/code for windows for beginners? I heard one of the best ways to learn is just to code as you learn more from it. Thanks in advance.
