Serial port

Hi, I can't make anything out of the Microsoft Developer Network thing, could someone give me an example on how to use this page?

Just trying to read a serial port.

In the meantime I found this, which I will try and discect for my purposes, it's the example code located on the bottom of one of the serialport pages.

Well I put something together but it doesn't work.
