Using Stroustrup Third Edition

Hello everyone,

Thank you for reading my post. I was recently gifted the beautiful special third edition of Stroustrup's The C++ Programming Language. This was released in 2000 and it is my understanding that C++ has received a not-small number of upgrades since then. I understand as well that it is most wise to learn a programming language from a contemporary book.

Here's the thing though: as this book was given to me, I would quite like to take advantage of it. It is also, as I said, a beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing volume, so I enjoy it from that perspective as well. And so I ask of you:

At what point would learning C++ from Stroustrup's THIRD edition become a problem and how do you recommend I go about learning what I need to know about changes made to the language since 2000?

Thank you so much! Take care, everyone.
