Need Help for Mapping / Searching addres in Array 2D

My Teacher wants me to make a science project with C++. the project that he wants from me is "Mapping / Searching Address in Array 2D".
please everybody help me, because i don't understand about this.
and my teacher wants me to declare the result in Hexadesimal ( once again i don't understand. )

if anybody can help me, i will appreciate that.
