Ideas for comparing and contrasting techniques

Hey guys

Here just for a little help on deciding a topic for a University research project.

I have asked to compare and contrast different techniques of doing something.

An example that has already been chosen is: Procedural Generation.

I was considering Soft Body Dynamics but wanted a couple of ideas before making my mind up.

I am not even asking for an exact title just ideas.

Idea must have much interest with others so that there is plenty to research.
