Neural networks and AI

Hi there! I was wandering if there was anybody who had a basic knowledge on neural networks. I've done some research on google and I haven't found anything that explains it with an example I can understand. I plan on buying a book about it this christmas but until then if anyone has access to a good tutorial I would appreciate it.
