Google maps API/library

Hey all,

I'm just trying to figure out what header I need in order to use the google maps API. Also where is the source code download (or even a copy paste so I can make my own header file.) I'm relatively new, so some advice would be nice!

What steps do I need to take to put that source code into a directory where my program can access it when I include it in the header?
