convert Pdf to image file?

Hi, I faced a problem with my project.

one thing of my project is to convert PDF files to image file such as PS, Jpeg, Png.. .

The first time, I used GhostScript, but it was sort of slow to process it.
Even it was not able to convert properly.(Whenever the pdf file is big or has bad descriptor)

So, I changed my mind to use other open libraries.

It is a little hard for me to find others.

Any one know any free library with sample source??
