Binary Search

Hello every body...i want to ask that whether if we can do binary search without using a function?? if it is possible then how can it be....and also which method is more suitable...

right krakissi..........i dont want to use any function neither predefined nor user defined.......make me clear one point, in binary search, i think we just tell that where a given number is present...in which half of the arary....m i right???
