wxSmith and Code::Blocks

I am working through a tutorial using code::blocks and wxSmith. the program will build, but will not run. It opens a window to send an error report to Microsoft. at the top of the window is says wxWidSmith.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I am able to build the forms and create buttons, etc.. I down loaded the xwPack_v2.8.804.ex
