ROLE SUMMARY

We are currently looking for a Sr. C++ Software Engineer, specializing in Core Programming and Multimedia Integration/Handling, on behalf of our client, a well established software company with global presence.

As part of a small, elite development team, the Sr. C++ Software Engineer will work on enhancing of the company's high-capacity multimedia recording, playback and processing appliance product lines.

This is a full-time permanent position, and the ideal candidate will be someone looking to stay with the company long term.

CORE FUNCTIONS

-- Collaborate with a small group of elite developers
-- Enhance and improve existing product features
-- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision, while meeting deadlines
-- Participate in the design and coding of new state-of-the-art product features
-- Provide technology leadership in the fields of Multi-Component Integration and Multimedia handling

QUALIFICATIONS

-- 8+ years of hands-on experience in server/service software development on Linux
-- Proven expertise in designing and coding perfect Multi-Threaded C++ code
-- PostgreSQL, or SQLite hands-on experience
-- Proven experience building TCP/IP Client/Server applications
-- BSCS or equivalent

PREFERRED

-- Ability to work in a variety of environments such as Python (and Mako) - big plus
-- Implementation of IP technologies such as RTP and ZeroConf
-- Linux technologies such as Debian and Kickstart
-- Previous experience with IP and Analog video cameras, digital video processing cards/libraries and compression tools
