1) Publicly and loudly voice your opinion that you live in an oppressive fascist state.
2) Were you killed or imprisoned for saying these things? If yes go to 3, if no go to 4
3) Your state is oppressive and fascist.
4) You're an idiot, and should reevaluate your life. I suggest moving to X military state hell hole to learn how great you really have it.
How to keep your fascist state under the radar:
1. Undermine people who speak against you by reacting only with propaganda instead of violence
2. Silently remove them from the population if deemed necessary
^thats the truth LOL I guess technically america is a dictatorship(along with the UK and a whole load of European countries, not all of them though)
detaining people in legal loopholes in order to avoid giving them a right to trial and torturing them.
manipulating the media.
manipulating public opinion.
make kids swear allegiance to the flag
having 1 party (you got two identical ones)
I think its a matter of time until you can't say loudly and openly that you don't like the state you live in, and before then no one is going to listen to a word anyone says, its not 1984 out their yet, it most definitely is A brave new world instead.
How do you know how close you are to all your freedoms being taken away all at once?
"Fascists seek to unify their nation through a totalitarian state that promotes the mass mobilization of the national community, relying on a vanguard party to initiate a revolution to organize the nation on fascist principles. Hostile to liberal democracy, socialism, and communism, fascist movements share certain common features, including the veneration of the state, a devotion to a strong leader, and an emphasis on ultranationalism and militarism. Fascism views political violence, war, and imperialism as a means to achieve national rejuvenation and asserts that stronger nations have the right to obtain land and resources by displacing weaker nations"
"Institutional Oppression occurs when established laws, customs, and practices systematically reflect and produce inequities based on one’s membership in targeted social identity groups. If oppressive consequences accrue to institutional laws, customs, or practices, the institution is oppressive whether or not the individuals maintaining those practices have oppressive intentions."
Were you killed or imprisoned for saying these things? If yes go to 3, if no go to 4
What if you have your phones and computer tapped to evaluate whether or not you are a threat for saying such a thing?
after all the reason they come down hard on people who say these things is to make sure no one does anything dangerous like bring about a change of government.
I live in a rather conservative portion of the US. On a daily basis I hear people complaining about things happening in politics that would happen under any administration and insisting the president is a socialist Muslim terrorist dictator. Shortly before I posted this, I got into an argument with some hick at a gas station over some BS he heard on right wing talk radio about how Obama is signing an executive order that would fine churches that do not marry same sex couples, and went on to rant about Obama's war on christianity. After I gave up on trying to explain to him everything that was wrong with what he had just said, I went home. I got online and I vented in a few places. I shouldn't have posted this thread here, though. It's not relevant and not appropriate, and for that I apologize.
