there was an american program about a girl who got herself nocked up at 16, 16 and preggers isnt unusual over here and normal in the deprived areas.

this american tv program: everyone was talking to her like she was an idiot, she may well of been but even the nurses were huffing and puffing and shaking their head at her, the last thing she needed really, over here they did the same program but the girl was 13 or 14!!

The internet. Lol.
Both of those stories were actually pretty wide spread on the news. I wasn't going out of my way to find them.

@devonrevenge
I agree with you. I think it's a bad thing to shame pregnant teenagers. They already have a lifetime of bad luck growing in their uterus. Give em a break, lol.
D; Stop it I'm too young.
@Thumper
You forget he is 12, when he hits 16 he will watch it. Either that or come out of the closet. One of the two.
Even gays watch porn. There's this thing called "gay porn".
Can we please stop talking about porn? I don't like the idea of grown men's penises in my head.

So many remarks are forming in my mind right now. There are lesbian videos and female solo videos too. You definitely have A LOT of growing up to do.
No thank you. I'd rather just do it myself.

When he is 18. We have to remember we are talking to a 12 year old and basically telling him he should watch porn which is illegal for anyone under 18 (In the US at least). Usually you should avoid talking about sex or anything relating to it with a minor of that age.
hahahaha @ naraku

Yeah but that law is retarded. See below

Usually you should avoid talking about sex or anything relating to it with a minor of that age.

On the contrary, I'd argue the exact opposite. The whole mentality of keeping sex a mystery is part of the reason why a large portion of the country is so ignorant about it. Our culture is extremely oppressive sexually (though granted, not as much as some others).

Early teens is when you're going through puberty, which is when you start developing sexual impulses, which is when you should be exposed to sex in an informative manner.

Strange as it sounds... some porn can actually be good exposure for that.

I agree with everything you said here. But the fact of the matter is our culture is extremely oppressive sexually, especially when it comes to minors. Yes it is wrong but that is how our culture is at the moment. So advising minors to watch porn might be viewed by some in a bad way and could lead to issues.

I personally believe the same way as you do (That we need to be more open about it) but I wouldn't go out into public and start talking to kids about sex because I would most likely be called a pedophile or pervert or whatever and locked up in prison somewhere or beat to death.

And because I believe it is up to the parents to teach their children about sex and how to be mature and responsible about it.

We do need better sexual education but it also can't cross a line.

fair enough @ Zereo
its is odd that a film like saw with horrendous graphic violence was okay but a naked women will shock and horrify a majority.

[anticpating answer]I know saw isnt real, neither is cartoon porn.

it is kinda odd that you cant choose to see porn any naked women until long long after your yearning has started, and sex is even used for marketing, and what about those gay kids out there, there's absolutely no education for them.

and extreme violence reaches younger and younger audiences.

Imagine if Saw showed boob.
Although, topless women are getting more and more acceptable to see, on tv and otherwise, in the US. In other countries there's no taboo on it and it isn't a big deal (the way it should be). So, at least we're heading in a good direction.. relatively speaking.
5 pages of discussion about porn? lol

Just watch it and keep it as a secret forever.
Stop talking about wrong stuff :D
