Can I convert a 4 pin fan connecter to a 3
closed account (EwCjE3v7)
I bought a new heat sink ages ago and was wondering if I could just cut of the 4 pun connector and put a 3 one on (I have 3 from a fan spliter). Will it work?if I just attach the power and white wire?

Don't do that. They make 4-pin molex to 3-pin fan adapters. Infact, all my fans have come with one. If you don't have one you could work around it with some cable and crimper or (soldering iron). They aren't expensive though.
