Any tutorials out there that help teach how to make a 2D game kind of like Cladun?

Well you should set about learning a graphics library.
A few are SDL, SFML, and Allegro. Those are commonly used. Lazyfoo has great SDL tutorials, SFML has some on their site, I'm not too sure about Allegro however.
