Interfacing a PS2 Controller

So I took apart one of my old PS2s to put the fan and the controller port inside my robot thing, and I'm trying to figure out if there is some sort of resource with interfacing one with C. I'm able to dedicate a set of IO pins for it. Thanks.

I know there is this PS2 controller to USB dongle, maybe if that would help.

(Something random:

So when I was around 9, I didn`t know anything about static electricity and all. So I deciding to take my PS2 apart and clean it(Saw on internet). So I got alcahol and earbuds. started cleaning it and touching it all over while I was resting on carpet..........Guess what happened.................................................................................................................................

My PS2 broke ... )
I still laugh at myself :D

That wont work. I'm doing it with the pins. The microcontroller has no concept of USB ports, unless I program a driver for them. (And create hardware).

Even if I did manage to add USB capabilities, I'd have to write another driver for the converter.
