Hi guys, is there anything like determinant of a non-square matrix?

There were some experimental definitions (google pulls up articles by Mirko, Stojakovic, Radic, Joshi, all of them different, published in obscure journals). In general, no.

But the determinant of square sub-matrices of a non-square matrix are pretty common.
