So, for all my life as much as I can remember, I have heard people say the word "statician" and even read the word before. Just recently though someone said the word "statistician" and I was like "what kind of word is that?", but when I search for the definition of "statician" I get redirected to the definition of "statistician". It feels like I am in an alternate reality where the word "statician" is now spelled and pronounced "statistician". I feel like I'm losing my mind!
Has anyone heard people say "statician" or am I just completely crazy?
I've only ever heard it as 'statistician', 'staticion' feels really weird to say... However, it might be that people from a certain area use that instead. Have you tried searching for examples of the use of 'staticion' on the internet? Even my spell-checkers reject the word in all 3 forms of English I have (British, American, Australian)...
