Moores law

Moores law basically says that computer grows exponentially but what if people stop inovating in engineering and computer power doesn't grow exponentially so why is it called a law than and why plus how is it predicted to such precise level
Its not a law (its a bit of a joke), and if you look back on it, Moore's law has been changing. We are basically at the limit now - we can't fit any more transistors onto a chip due to problems like electron tunneling. Look it up online, there is a lot of stuff on the internet about it. The original was double the transistors on a chip every 12 months, now its more like double the computing speed (which is similar, but not the same) every 24 months.
