I'm back

Hey guys, I'm back! I recently lost my motivation and I got it back thanks to my idol. This is the quote that got me back with more fire than ever:

"Success don't come easy! You have to WORK for it!" - T-Pain
I hate to come off as an asshole, but:

You didn't know that you had to work hard? Did you think it was going to be easy to learn to program?

It seems like somthing that anyone with even an ounce of common sense would be able to observe....

@IWishIKnew
I was worried about sounding like an asshole so I didn't post at first, but I have to say it. You lost motivation on the 19th and within a week got it back? Can't say I've ever gained my motivation back that fast...ever...on anything.
I knew I had to work hard, that wasn't the problem. The problem was I just slowly stopped. I knew it wasn't easy, this is my first language to learn (and yes it may be hard for a first language but I understand what I have learned). The problem is not of learning or anything like that, programming is what I love to do. I didn't expect to get my motivation that quickly, it was that post on twitter by T-Pain that did the trick. He is who I look up to for numerous reasons and that tweet really helped. I'm not some kid who wants to create the biggest selling game in the world (that would be nice though) I know realistically that it will never happen and that is not my goal, my goal is to simply program for the rest of my life for as long as I am able to
Did you think it was going to be easy to learn to program?

it was for me. learning to do it well, and design is a whole other issue. but raw programming? it was incredibly simple to pick up.
Thank you Little Bobby Tables. @IWishIKnew are you saying that just because of how little posts I have? I hope that isn't the case, posts do not define how much I know and what I thought going into programming. I wanted to learn it initially because I wanted to learn more about computers, so I learned a little and I was amazed at what I could create, code from my own head, no borrowed code as I wanted to do things that I knew how to do and test what I have just learnt.

@BHX I'm sorry is there a minimum requirement to get your motivation back?!? If there is please list them here, everyone is different. Just because you haven't gained it back this quickly doesn't mean that I can't or for someone else to get it back sooner.

It's kinda pathetic that when I asked for advice to get it up and everyone was supportive and now that I have it back all but one (so far) is basically saying "Nope, you don't have your motivation back. You must be some kid that doesn't know any better." Am I right? Do you guys think I am this kid? If this is the case what has this community gone too?

The reason why I got motivated was that tweet, him and I went through almost the exact same thing which is why I look up to him because he is one of the few celebrities that I can relate to, so when he said that it lit a fire in me to keep going. It may not be a celebrity that programs or whatever you guys would expect me to look up to but I have heard of no other celebrity that has dealt with depression that isn't from the fame, everyone keeps talking shit about T-Pain and it effects him or at least did, which is my case. For him to say "Success don't come easy! You have to WORK for it!" means a lot more to me than just this.

So please people, don't just automatically assume something and say it. Posts do not define anyone, how long I have been programming (about a year, so I am kinda new but I self taught what I know now and didn't give up) doesn't define anyone, not completing something doesn't define anyone, and their mindset doesn't define someone.

So if you want to make assumptions don't even post, you don't know the other person on a first name basis, you don't know what they went through, what makes them tick, what they think, or their personality. So in the future keep that in mind when replying on a post, who knows if you are negative they might lose their motivation and may not come back because people are too quick to judge, or if you are positive you might make someone's day and help them keep going!

Sorry if I sounded like an asshole as you two guys would put it, it sounds like you are trying to take my motivation away from me no matter how short of a time that I got it back. I would have figured the community would be happy about that, but maybe it is more competition so you want to discourage me, if there is a friendlier community let me know because I don't know about you guys but I like a more supportive community. For whoever reads this keep in mind what I said to consider when posting, it will be a handy piece of advice for any online forum or even in person!

I know this key you are referring to. I didn't expect it to be that long so I didn't do any formatting
I read it, basically remarked about IWishIKnew's comment, then remarked about my comment, and then ranted about a few other things.

Really was an interesting rant wall. Not sure how many will read it though.
Holly wall of text batman!
Post should be set up like a sushi meal, small servings with variable number of courses.
I'm just tired of people judging, I thought I finally got that behind me, sorry to kind of loosing it but I'm just really sick of people judging without even knowing the other person, I've been judged for 6 years straight and then a year or two before that, which finally it died down this last school year but for those of you who have been there you know what it's like to have most everyone judge you and feel like everyone is against you.

Bullshit. Even if you don't use the Preview button you can still see that you've written a wall of text. So you did it on purpose. You can exercise goodwill by editing that wall of text and split it into paragraphs.

It is said that C++ is one of the most difficult languages to master, seen how it combines the low-levelness of C with the high-level panacea of the 90's, OOP. So I'm giving you points for having lost your motivation, then regaining it.

Go back to work, and good luck!

I'm 33 years old and people still judge me without knowing me. My wife is a few years older than me and still gets judged. The quicker you accept it the easier it is to ignore.

I'm not trying to take your motivation. I said that because I don't think it was your motivation that you lost because normally when you lose that it does take months (and years in some cases) to get it back. I have never got it back in a week like stated, but I have never met anyone before that has lost motivation for something and got it back in a matter of days. Reading the thread where you said you lost motivation sounds like you just got burned out rather than lost motivation.
