Handmade Hero, Writing a game from scratch

Thought people here might get something from this.
Casey Muratori is making a series of live coding sessions (on twitch) where he makes a game from scratch. Each session will be archived on YouTube.

An interesting stream.

An odd approach to game design that I don't really agree with but it will be fun to watch. It seems like he is going to go past "reinventing the wheel" and will first reinvent the hammer, the chisel, then find a large rock and start working. No window handler, no graphics/audio library of any kind etc.

I don't see why people want to do that especially when you are working on games which can take long enough already...but anyway not trying to be offensive or anything. Will definitely keep watching as he seems very informative on low level code at least.
