What is the difference between a computer programmer and a software engineer?

I've always thought they were the same thing.

Can anyone care to explain the difference between the two? Also, do YOU work as a computer programmer or as a software engineer?
To me a software engineer would be someone with more schooling than just a "programmer" anyways this was pretty easy to find http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27516/whats-the-difference-between-programmer-and-software-engineer

As far as second question nope, I work at a call center.
Do both job titles still require a bachelors degree right? preferably in computer science?

Computer Science, Computer Programming, Software Engineering, etc. - it's all just a bunch of vague names for vaguely different types of jobs that are actually different but don't seem very different.
i've described myself as a coder, a software engineer, a developer, a programmer etc etc. It's all the same to me. think my job title is "software developer" i think.
I have a degree but it's nothing to do with computer science.
To be an engineer you must have an engineering degree. To be a programmer you must have a computer.
