Wierd problem

Hey,

I had dual booted win 8 with ubuntu but after I upgraded win 8 to win 8.1, the other os which is ubuntu disappeared. I formatted the drive that contained win 8 and then installed win 8.1 in it. Now, grub doesn't show up. what should i do ?

Windows overwrites boot loader with its own. You need to restore grub:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RecoveringUbuntuAfterInstallingWindows
http://askubuntu.com/questions/88384/how-can-i-repair-grub-how-to-get-ubuntu-back-after-installing-windows
reinstall Linux.

Also, you know what else is wierd? Mispelling the word "wierd": https://dictionary.search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A86.JyVlxvxUi0kAd0YnnIlQ?p=weird&.sep=&fr=yhs-mozilla-001
why would you reinstall linux? thats a bit overkill

Rule #1 When correcting someone's spelling you should spell correctly yourself.

you should spell correctly yourself.

I did that on purpose. Why would you think I looked up the definition, read the word, and not notice that I mis-spelled it in the post??
I'm pretty sure giblit was referring to your misspelling of misspelling.

EDIT: I just noticed how you (IWishIKnew) are doing quotes
[small ][i ][b ]giblit said[/small]
...
just as an FYI it should be
[ quote=giblit]...
You know what else is "wierd", Two Nerds fighting a super meaningless war.
Rule #2 Know which word you misspelled.
The good old Miss Pelling
Rule #2 Know which word you misspelled.

Where are you guys getting these rules; I never learned any of these before. </sarcasm>

If you put an empty tag somewhere in the name of the tag you want to display, it won't parse that tag:

this

[quote=naraku9333]
becomes this

You guys are way too pedantic. I was trying to make a point by purposely mis-spelling weird. It was for emphasis.
@IWishIKnew Did you even read giblit's and my posts?
