Design Help (CSS)

If anyone has the time and would like to add another item to their open source portfolio, I could really use some design advice / help on my github.io project template. A sample of the dreadfully boring (yet fully functional) page can be found here: http://lukeleber.github.io/Scandroid/index.html

The source for the website can be found here: https://github.com/lukeleber/lukeleber.github.io

If anyone would be so kind as to lend me a hand, I'll be more than happy to buy and ship to you the hardware required to use the project in question if you would like to give it a try.

Thanks in advance,
Luke
I don't know an awful lot about good design. But I do know that lines in a paragraph shouldn't stretch across the entire screen. I can't remember the word for it, but basically if you look at any website you should notice that text is segmented into boxes with a maximum width. This makes it easier to read. Generally the left over space can be used for other things (such as menus).
