Microsoft will release Visual Studio for the Mac

That looks like Visual Studio Code which is significantly different from Visual Studio. Visual Studio Code is a Sublime clone. It's not bad but the naming sucks since everyone confuses the two.

Surprised this didn't happen earlier since it's open source.
Kinda surprised that Mac doesn't have its own IDE for C/C++. Like Sublime Text. You can run it on any device. Hard to believe ... will do some Googling ...

Well it took me just few seconds .... God Bless the Internet !

Mac users can use Xcode, CLion, Eclipse and more ....... no, Mac users aren't discriminated lol.

This is one of the things I love about programming. No limitations. You can program literally on any machine. Linux, Windows, iOS even on Chromebooks. You just need to install light-weight Linux distro on it and you can start building. Swell !
I program on my phone. C4droid. Hard to type but better than turning my laptop on and off. Whenever I'm bored (when I go out somewhere) I whip out my phone and start programming.

@Thomas1965,

interesting link, nice to see MS is finally recognizing the benefits of cross platform development.

Embedded within the article is another link that is worth the read:
