I'm quite confused about this API. In various power point presentations and during XDC2012, it was stated several times that EGL is *replacing* GLX.
But... EGL currently sits on top of GLX/WGL. So, I don't really understand what's going on. It seems more akin to SDL but you still have to create a native window which you then pass to EGL to create a context within. So, I'm lost lol.
Would anyone care to straighten out the facts out for me?
It looks like it's just meant to be a cross-platform version of GLX/WGL, which would explain why it currently only sits atop those two. However, I do feel like I'm missing something here.
