When will be the source code section of this site will be open? What type of code will be there? Can I put some of my project there?
I don't think it's ever going to be open; instead, code should be submitted to the Articles section with the Source Code category.
If you just want to submit personal projects, put them somewhere else, like on Github or Sourceforge, and then make a thread in the Lounge forum if you want people from here to look at it. The Source Code category of the Articles section is for code people can learn from.

It's not pessimism, I just don't think there's any need for it. We have a Source Code category in the Articles section, we don't need something like the old Source Code section.
