You can join the community and start coding, making art, music, animations, designing new karts and tracks and bug testing. They are looking for help adding new game modes, individualized physics for each kart, adding AI to battlemode and getting internet multiplayer working. They want to polish up the art style and make it more consistent and adding new sfx, textures, and models.

EDIT: 1 known glitch -- Controls stop working properly on Sands race (in pyramid) when user fails to boost with perfect green-go action.

Yeah, they've done an excellent job. I just beat the game in story mode on novice and I'm having a lot of fun. I'm thinking about making a track.

They are looking for new developers and bug testers. You should consider making a bug report for the site.
