I was creating a new account on some website that looked legit. I should have paid more attention to the web address... Anyways, some seconds later I got a warning from my gmail that someone has tried to log into my account from the US(I don't even live in the us) from this ip, 216.38.62.18. I googled it and found this website: http://www.malwaregroup.com/ipaddresses/details/216.38.62.18
do you think he is some kind of hacker? I changed my password and it was fine. I opened my log and couldn't seem to find any suspicious sites except this:
http://www.registry.cu.cc/index.php
any ideas if this is a legit site or not?
Chrome warns me about the website, as does Windows. Chrome won't even let me in there actually. You should heed warnings, if you don't get one, use a new browser/update.
I am not really sure what to do with the info. I kinda want the hacker banned from the internet
Nothing you can do, really. If the website is hijacked, you could see if you can search around for contact info on the owners and give them this information. You can't be "banned from the Internet" though.
