Java Beginner Button

I need help with my button in Java. I tried registering at the java programming forums but for someone reason when I press complete registration its says it doesn't allow spammers. So, I built a simple applet in Java that has 2 labels, and 1 button. The problem is, I want to when I press the button it does something. If you could that lines of code and briefly discribe what it does, I would appriciate that very much.
