another problem with loading images to window

is there a way to load other images(*.jpg *.png) I can seem found any function that does that

I remember falling for the same thing. MS used the term 'bitmap' kind of generically when they are referring to images. You can still use .jpg or .png: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd145107(v=vs.85).aspx
