When i try to build my app it says that i need to configure the compiler

Do you have a compiler for it?...
There is actually a wizard which sets everything up for you...

Just download the online version, and it will set everything up for you.

download visual studio 2013 compiler (google it) and install it. When installing QT using wizard, in components selections, select visual studio 2013 plugin. Done.

The QT Installer in many cases doesn't detect VS 2013 or at least doesn't list the VS 2013 add-in.

So you can download the addin directly from here:

http://download.qt.io/official_releases/vsaddin/
