[Fractal Cat]

I have created a static control with a gradient fill using BS_OWNERDRAW and this is what i want. However, I am trying to draw a transparent icon on top of this gradient but the transparent areas are coloured white which is not what I want; the transparent areas should allow the gradient behind to show through but that's not happening.

Does anyone have any ideas

You can convert your icon to a bitmap and use TransparentBlt function to draw.
