| Bio: | <p><strong style="font-style: normal;">FOUNDER/EDITOR. </strong>Hi, I am Holly Becker and I am an American expat from Boston living and working in Hannover, Germany (and frequently in Hamburg) on jobs that I love from the world of interiors and publishing. I am also a mom, a role that I put first in my life since parenting is something which I truly value and love and my little boy is really magnificent. I attempt to balance work/life but recognized today that he's 5-years-old that it is impossible on many days, so instead, I've just learned to just take one day at a time and also to be happy and positive, no matter what.<br></p><div><div><p>In terms of work, I'm known as pioneer in my industry because I am adventurous, I am a leader who loves to take risks and to try new things, and I challenge myself doing things which haven't been achieved before. In addition, I like to collaborate with others and that I work best under pressure. When everyone is prepared to give up, I am the cheerleader who motivates them to stand up and keep moving so that we can all be successful together. </p><p>My site was one of the first design sites on earth to become"famous" and to let me earn a living from being a blogger in the first years (circa 2006). Now, I still am a blogger though my profession has turned into a lot more and that I owe all my success to my own readers, family and the brands that have loyally supported me over the last 13+ years.</p><p> In fact, my first book was among the initial 3 design books printed in America by a blogger and the first ever published in Germany with a blogger as a"test" to see if bloggers could cross over into printing. After it reprinted in Germany 4 or 3 times and turned into a bestseller, it was clearly a success and now there are dozens and dozens of blogger publications sold in numerous markets, possibly even thousands.</p></div></div> |
