Bio:I've been a fairly technical business systems analyst for about a million years, starting in the mainframe/assembler/VSAM days, moving on into the COBOL/VSAM/DB2/SQL days, and now have moved into the client-server arena, and am (unfortunately) struggling with C++.

In my current position, I'm supporting a Decision Support database that's fairly old. The bulk of it is in C++, with some SQL thrown in just for good measure. The company is starting an intensive project to map all of the enterprise data - the sources, flows through the various applications, etc., and for some reason, the analysts have been chosen to dig through the code in order to document it all.

On a personal level, I telecommute from my home in Three Rivers, Ca., which is in the Sierra Nevada foothills, about 30 miles east of Visalia. We have an off-grid log home that we built on 26 acres of land, 2 dogs, 20 chickens, 1/4 acre garden, 1/2 mile driveway, and his and hers tractors to take care of it all.
