There are tons, and I'm sure not a lot of people learned c++ through videos. My favorite though due to it's large variety of tutorials is thenewboston.

Will going through all his tutorial give me a solid foundation to delve into sdl?

SDL is written in c++, so yes if you have a good foundation of c++ you should be able to delve into sdl.
