C++ open source project to learn from

Hi.
I've been learning C++ at my own pace, and now I feel that I'd like to look at other people's code and learn from there.
I'm looking for an open source project for windows, like an alarm clock or something really simple, yet useful to SOME degree.
Not looking for something like Firefox or Miranda IM. It's way too much for me at this point, but really simple.
I tried looking for open source alarm clocks, but they're either written in other languages or not open source.

Any ideas?
