DirectX tutorial!!!!!!!
Here is a (very) good Youtube tutorial that starts off assuming you're a beginner:

Despite it being a good tutorial, he doesn't directly teach you any directx for a while. Once you get to grips with c++, I very much recommend the books by Frank D Luna, as they have helped me a lot, but they are quite difficult and assume a good knowledge of c++:
