Converting Files
I want to write a program that will convert file types. Like MP4 ---> ISO, but I have no idea where to start learning in order to write this program.
What do I need to study in order to accomplish this?

Do you know what an ISO and a MP4 actually are? They are not really related.

MP4s are a type of file that could be stored on an ISO image, but that really is the only remote chance they have at being related that I can think of.
Perhaps you might want to convert an MP4 to a different type of video file instead?
