Naming pointers within loop - C

Hello.
Can I name pointers (or any variable for that matter) with an increasing number as part of it's name, within a loop? Like:

size_t* pointer1 = malloc (size_t);
pointer1 = &somevar1;
size_t* pointer2 = malloc (size_t);
pointer2 = &somevar2;
size_t* pointer3 = malloc (size_t);
etc.

If so, how?
