Which is best compiler?
Hello, I thank everyone who has been helping me get started on C++. I am now trying to figure out the best compiler to use. As of now I have Dev-C++, although I have read some places it is not the best for a beginner to use. Understand I am very determined so it may not matter, I just figured I would ask incase I was starting ahead of myself. Any tips and suggestions help thanks =). By the way anyone who would like to personally help me would be greatly appreciated just send me a message.
As I recall you were interested in game programming so I recommend downloading Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express so you can get your hands on the DarkGDK game creation tool once you have some c++ under your belt.
