Little spelling mistakes can mean all the difference. In line 7 you typed double numgallons whereas in 12 you typed numGallons. Choose one and use the same one throughout.

thank you very much :) it works now, now i have to do also how far the car can go with the gas in the tank but i think i will try to do it bymyself :)

No problem. Just remember that variable names are case specific. Also, if you get a good compiler, it will tell you where your problem is and it will be easier to find it in future. I use CodeRunner / XCode on my Mac
