I've dabbled with this sort of thing in the past. But your question is too vague to answer because there isn't a standard API for that, you pretty much have to use what the manufacturer provides.

Thanks friends i got the api with scanner but there are a lot of errors in it.
One of them is unable to include windows .h.please help to deal with this.
I'm using windows 7 64 bit and turbo c++.
