Im trying to make a simple program that reads 8 non-whitespace characters from the keyboard and form a string, EightChars, using the string .push_back() function.

Please note that this is not a homework site. The purpose of homework is that you learn by doing. However, we are always willing to help solve problems you encountered, correct mistakes you made in your code and answer your questions.

We didn't see your attempts to solve this problem yourself and so we cannot correct mistakes you didn't made and answer questions you didn't ask. To get help you should do something yourself and get real problems with something. If your problem is "I don't understand a thing", then you should go back to basics and study again.

This isn't homework, this is something I really struggle with, that why I asked.

What is that you really struggle in this assignment? Can you write a pseudocode on the simple program? What have you coded about the program so far?

This is what I have but it dosn't work.

#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
#include <cstdlib>
#include <iomanip>
using namespace std;

int main()
{
string c1, c2, c3, c4, c5, c6, c7, c8;

cin >> c1 >> c2 >> c3 >> c4 >> c5 >> c6 >> c7 >> c8;

8char = c1 + c2 + c3 + c4 + c5 + c6 + c7+ c8;

cout << .push_back(8char);

return 0;

}//main
