I want to download Microsoft Visual C++ 2008?

where to download free, i searched on google but it comes up with different versions like Express, Basic, Studio etc..
i am currently using VC++ 6.. please guide me which one to download..
if you provide a link then it would be great

The Express version is free and will probably suit your needs.

Download the Visual C++ 2008 express from the Microsoft's site. It's the safest way to be untouched by any virus/warm/trojan. It's not the free version, is a trial one. When the trial period expires, Microsoft will give you the opportunity to buy a license for free. You just follow the steps they give to you and you will have an licensed product. That's what I did with Visual C++ 2010.
