Text to Speech on Mac

Hey guys. I have been posting quite a lot lately as I have been trying to solve problems with this program I have created. It is all done and working now but was wondering how I would go about a string spoken by the computer. I have looked online and a lot of websites suggest downloading different softwares (SDK) like festival in order to be able to do that, yet I am really quite confused as how they work. If I download the software and use it, and then send the program to another computer (mac) without festival or the SDK used to provide the Text-To-Speech, would it still work or would the SDK have to be on each computer?
