I have seen the advanced advisers on the forum quoting references to sections in a Standard when assisting members.
Is this Standard being refereed to out in the public domain for some of us to download (if free, please point me to the URL) or perhaps buy and reference also?

ISO/IEC 14882:2011 is the C++11 standard. If you search for that you'll learn all about it.
