Job Description

Quartz Core develops bank-wide cross asset platform, helping to automate and improve business processes, especially for pricing and risk computation. The platform has to accommodate various performance characteristics for different asset classes. It also needs to provide business users with visibility and explanation of the data and processes.

We are looking for excellent programmers, able to make outstanding contributions. Though having a degree in Computer Science helps greatly, it is not a strict requirement. Ultimately we are interested in smart and proactive people who can write code. We are looking for a good ratio of “skills/experience” (i.e. from top class students, to someone bringing substantial value with their experience).


Responsibilities

As a Programmer your responsibilities will involve:
• Design, develop and maintain high-performance systems
• Build high quality components, used by developers and quants, that will scale across the entire bank
• Provide expertise in software and business design patterns


Requirements

As a Programmer your skills and qualification will ideally include:
• Strong computer science background including algorithms, data structures distributed systems and databases
• Excellent programming skills, preferably across wide range of languages
• Desire and ability to solve complex technical problems
• Knowledge of the core of a mainstream languages (esp. Python, C# or C++), ideally demonstrated by contributions to one of its implementations.
• Experience in writing custom UI widgets able to process large data volumes in real time, ideally with exposure to WPF and CLR
• Knowledge of capital markets, including understanding of pricing, risk and P&L computations
• Experience in developing IDEs either open source or commercial.
• Knowledge of the internal implementation of no-sql or sql databases, ideally demonstrated by contributions to an open source or commercial system.
• Experience in grid computing
