Sr. Engineer in Austin, TX C++, Typescript

Austin, TX gaming company looking for a developer to join a team who uses a mix of technologies including C#, C++, JavaScript, Unity, and OpenGL ES on desktop, mobile, embedded and server platforms to deliver tools, libraries and applications to internal and external game studios. The environment offers a broad range of challenges and opportunities.

A successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplined, highly technical team responsible for delivering best in industry solutions. Excellent problem solving skills are a must as well as knowledge of mobile, desktop, and server software development. This role will be responsible for executing the duties of a software engineer that span from design to implementation. This roles fits within a global business and you will be required to understand and deliver against a diverse set of business needs as well as providing your own feedback and inputs.
What You’ll Do
 Design and implement gaming software platforms for mobile, embedded and desktop platforms
 Write design documents and provide reasonably accurate estimates
 Write unit tests for components
 Coordinate designs and implementation with QA to enable automated and manual testing
 Fix bugs during development and in production
 Work with client teams across the organization to ensure a successful design and implementation
 Participate in project planning, daily standups and retrospectives
 Communicate with project managers and stakeholders regarding the status of projects
 Adapt to changing software technologies and business requirements
 This position requires some domestic and international travel
 All other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
 Expert level C++ and C# with solid engineering practices
 Excellent software engineering and platform design skills
 5+ years of commercial development experience
 Multiple commercial software product releases
 Experience with large scale software projects
 Good communication and cross-team collaboration
 Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
