From the creative idea, we make the interactive impossible happen. From multifunction broadcast television studios to touchscreen walls the size of a 48-sheet poster. We link multitouch cells, ipads, social networks etc. bringing together all the technologies and skills needed to invent truly groundbreaking experiences.
We partner with a broad range of clients and agencies, including; Accenture, SKY, Vodafone, News International, T-mobile, Castrol, Royal Bank of Scotland.
The Opportunity
We are growing fast; winning bigger and more complex projects. We need a talented, proven individual to champion our software application credentials by building a stellar digital development function.
You are a highly imaginative programmer with a natural flair for design, skilled in the development of new interactive experiences in commercial, cultural and educational environments. You have a passion for pushing the boundaries of interactivity and user interface technologies from a variety of platforms including those used in the mobile, gaming and digital art sectors; with specific experience in touch applications & content.
Working alongside senior management, you will be expected to operate at board level, answering in to the Operations Director. This is a chance to join a fast paced, rapidly growing agency and grow an effective team.
Core Skills
Not afraid to roll your sleeves up you will be expected to hit the ground running, be able to work under pressure, be outgoing, forward thinking and have a very good technical understanding with a can-do attitude. A natural leader, you will grow a team around you that is flexible, capable and robust.
• Create and code multitouch applications in WPF, C++, Flash
• Have deep skills and fundamental knowledge of C and C++
• Have a good working knowledge of .NET, SQL and MySQL
• Ability to develop touchscreen content using existing SDK of various touchscreen platforms
• Write concise, elegant, well-commented and reusable code
• Are comfortable with working in Linux and Window (and OS)
• Good understanding of usability best practices across multiple devices (mobile and other)
• Good understanding of online interaction design or information architecture
• Fluent in maintenance, development and version control (GIT repositories etc.)
• Some client facing capabilities required.
Other Key Skills
• Be able to interpret a brief from a client and refine to a basic storyboard
• Ability to manage graphic assets (receive from client and edit for use in code)
• Ability to work within a schedule
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative development team as well as under your own initiative
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and PCs (Windows)
The following skills would be considered a bonus
• Experienced with Processing, Open Frameworks and git
• Experience developing for iOS, Android and embedded systems
• Ability to create graphic & movie assets from scratch (using Photoshop/illustrator/fireworks/premier))
• Knowledge of putting together PCs and networking and an understanding of electronic interfaces
• Love design and have strong aesthetics
